The girls have been begging us to let them "help" with the painting and we finally relented. Chris allowed them both to paint a spot on the wall with primer, although he would have preferred them to only paint in the closet. It's just primer...

I remember the thrill of "helping" at that age. I was about Skylar's age when Grandma and Grandpa Jones moved to their house in Bettendorf, and I wanted to help. They relented finally and told me I could Windex their refrigerator for them, to get i all nice and shiny on the outside. I spent about an hour windexing the heck out of that refrigerator - and kept waiting for someone to comment and validate all of my hard work. Finally, I think Grandma or Grandpa made a big production over "how wonderful that refrigerator looks!"
