Dust, Doctors & Dogs

Our bathroom project is nearing completion and with it's impending closure, evidently, comes copious amounts of dust. This week is week 3 with our contractor in (and out) of the house (and month 8 or so without our master bed/bath, which is completely our fault) and we may actually get the project behind us by the end of next week. I say that knowing that it won't be truly "complete" before at least 2 weeks from now seeing as we just ordered the double door entry to the bathoom and that is the soonest it will possibly arrive to the store. So, maybe "functional" is a better word to use until then. Thus, we have dust for now and most likely for another week or two. But there IS a light at the end of the tunnel and I can actually see it, so that is good news.

My bro-in-law, Martin, has been through his first round of doctor visits at MD Anderson to consult and plan his cancer surgery and treatment. His spirits are high and his (wacky-dry) sense of humor are still intact, so things look more positive than negative right now. Of course, we continue to covet all of your prayers over Martin and the Mueller family (my sister, Traci, their boys Gunnar & Winston, and baby Mueller-to-be, due in January). They have moved in with Mimi & Poppy for the duration, with Honey Dog in tow, and seem to be settling into a routine at this point.
Oh, dogs... That would be Bruno & Ivan. I am not sure what to say about these two. They are sweet and silly. They have no concept of how enormous they have become, so they "ox" all over everyone. They are deceptively viscious looking, but are more likely to lick you to death than to bite anyone - even a "bad guy" (per Skylar). Still, they are motivated by food - Bruno more than Ivan - and our contractors have commented on their good behavior and evidence that they "haven't missed any meals." Other than an incident over the weekend where Bruno was running though the backyard gate and Rhylan stepped into his path (and proceeded to be hurled about 15 feet onto the patio and into a metal folding chair), the girls and the dogs get along famously. Thank God!
