I like beer... and I'm ok with that.
Recently, Chris and I viewed an interesting documentary about the beer industry in the United States called Beer Wars and it made us think. I mean really think... Where is big brother Budweiser and mega mogul Miller taking the industry? Not only that, but why would WE - the folks that actually like beer - buy their product???
Give me beer - real beer - or NONE AT ALL.
On that note... here's what we have been drinking lately:
Shiner Beer (brewery in Shiner, TX - for those non-natives) is 101 years old.
This Czech-Style Pilsner is amazing. Try it if you can find it.
Southern Star Brewing Company located in Conroe, TX is producing some fine beer. Our current buy is the Pine Belt Pale Ale.
Of course, there are others - but that may be another post, folks. We haven't given up on wine or cocktails, either. However, the micro-brews have caught our attention, so we are giving them a go.
