Well, Spring is officially here and it has been a busy and blessed one for us here at Casa Jones. Let's do a re-cap of the flurry of activity that has been going on...
Chris turned 40 at the beginning of March and was sent away with friends on a weekend trip to enjoy it. Lee Cheeks and Ross Curtis joined Chris on a guys' weekend to Rockport, TX where they ate their fill of seafood and had an awesome time catching up with each other without distractions.
Chris and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary in March, as well. Low key was the theme this year, so we just had a dinner and called it done.
I turned 37 on my birthday and we had a March Madness BBQ in conjunction with that date. I would love to say that was uneventful, but having an ambulance out within 30 minutes of the onset of the party to cart-off a child with a bleeding head-wound, is NOT uneventful. (The child is now fully recovered, by the way.) Chris' BBQ was almost completely annihilated within the first hour of the party and for the first time, we had no left overs!
We celebrated the girls' birthdays (number 5 for Rhylan and number 7 for Skylar) with a Birthday Bowl-O-Rama. They came, they bowled, they ate pizza and cake and 2 hours of partying was gone in a flash! Thankfully, two of my girl friends came back to the house and helped with the opening of gifts and the management of trash that was necessary post-party (thanks, Whit and Holli!).
March was exhausting, but fun. We are hoping that maybe we will recover by the end of April...
